Those times together have been deeply meaningful\, but there is som ething uniquely special about gathering face to face—to pray together\, share meals\, study God's Word\, worship\, laugh\, encourage one another\, and simply enjoy being together.\nWe've talked about hosting a retreat fo r years\, and now that The Way of Light has officially become a congregati on\, it feels like the right time to bring our community together.\nThe th eme of this retreat is the rhythm we have discovered woven throughout Scri pture:\nRemember. Walk. Return.\nAgain and again\, we see that God is alwa ys the first to move. He calls\, and we respond. He establishes His covena nt\, and we willingly enter into it. He gives us a new identity as His bel oved sons and daughters\, frees us from the lies and false beliefs that ha ve bound us\, and lovingly forms us into His image.\nOur invitation is bea utifully simple: remember what He has done\, remember His faithfulness\, r emember who He says we are... and then keep walking with Him through every season of life. And whenever we wander—as we all do—we simply return. \nRemember. Walk. Return.\nThroughout the retreat we'll explore this rhyth m together as we pray\, study Scripture\, celebrate Shabbat\, share our te stimonies\, enjoy meals together\, and spend time in the beautiful and pea ceful setting of Southport\, North Carolina.\nMore than anything\, our hop e is that these days together will deepen our relationship with the Lord w hile strengthening the relationships through which He forms us into a fait hful covenant community.\n \nRegistration\nPlease register by September 15 so we can plan our shared events and meals.\n \nSuggested Retreat Cont ribution\nThe suggested retreat contribution allows our congregation to co me together for this shared experience. The suggested retreat contribution will cover the minimum of:\n\nDinner on Thursday\nLunch and dinner on Fri day\nLunch and dinner on Saturday\n\n\nAny funds received in excess of the suggested contribution will go towards members who have demonstrated fina ncial need and then enhanced retreat experiences.\nSuggested for Adults: $ 200 - $450\nSuggested for Children: $150\nPlease contribute on our GIVE p age under "Way of Light Retreat Fund"\nAny retreat contributions paid does not include accommodations. \n\nWe will provide links to nearby lodging w ithin walking distance of the retreat home so you can make your reservatio ns.\n*A limited number of sponsored accommodations are available for those with financial need.
