Brandy’s approach to spiritual mentorship begins with the person in front of her.
She walks with people from a wide variety of backgrounds—Christian, Jewish, other faith traditions, and those who are simply searching. You do not need to arrive with particular answers or share all of Brandy’s beliefs in order to begin. She meets people where they are, listens deeply, and walks alongside them as they seek truth, healing, freedom, and a deeper relationship with God.
For Brandy, spiritual mentorship is not about giving someone a formula for life or telling them what they should believe. It is about creating a place where they can slow down, ask honest questions, recognize the deeper patterns at work in their lives, bring difficult places before God, and become increasingly attentive to His presence and leading.
Prayer is at the heart of this work. Brandy prays with those she counsels, bringing their needs, questions, struggles, and hopes before God together. She also prays for them beyond their time together, believing that ultimately it is God—not the counselor or mentor—who brings healing, wisdom, freedom, and transformation.
Drawing upon nineteen years of walking alongside individuals and families with her husband, Ian, Brandy brings together prayer, Scripture, pastoral care, spiritual formation, and careful attention to each person’s individual story. No two journeys look exactly alike. Sometimes the work involves fear, grief, or old wounds; sometimes relationships, identity, purpose, or major life transitions; and sometimes it begins simply with a desire to know God more deeply.
When appropriate, Brandy also helps people engage Scripture more deeply—not simply to acquire biblical knowledge, but to encounter the character of God and discover how the great patterns of Scripture can illuminate their own lives.
At the heart of Brandy’s approach is the belief that genuine transformation happens in relationship—with God and with others—and through truth, prayer, surrender, and the patient (but wonderful and exciting) work of learning to walk with Him.
The goal of spiritual mentorship is not dependence upon a mentor. Brandy’s desire is ultimately to help each person grow in his or her own relationship with God: to seek Him, discern His leading, grow in wisdom and freedom, and learn to walk faithfully with Him.
The goal is not simply to find answers. It is to learn to walk with God.
